The 45,000 pageviews of the RoanokeSlant Blog raises some questions:

Who are these viewers?
How did they find this completely noncommercial personal site?
How many viewers were one-time stands?
What attracted viewers from other States and Countries?

My guess is that it’s mostly about search engines like Google and Yahoo.
As a site accumulates more pageviews that address moves up in the search listings.
Repeat views are not counted in the GoogleBlog system so it’s not clear how many viewers are steady vs. occasional vs. one-timers.

This blog doesn’t accept direct-entry real-time comments.
That would be a nice thing to do, except, there are some folks who use inappropriate language on blog comments and it takes considerable time to police that process.
