US Health System vs Socialist Systems

An after action world-wide review of the CoronaVirus Covid-19 pandemic will surely include comparisons between the US Health System and the much heralded Socialist Systems of England, Canada and others.

At this juncture it appears that all the systems are being highly stressed with some epicenters being taxed beyond capability.
The US has relied heavily on the resources and capabilities of the federal government to assist many of the hardiest impacted states.
It's not clear that the EU has performed a similar service to its member states.

In the US there is a national healthcare resource justification system implemented at the state level that establishes how many health facilities are allowed to exist and what resources each is allowed.

After this pandemic is under control, all the states will be reviewing how their CON committees provided the minimum required resources or not and what are reasonable and prudent levels of support going forward.
