I read '1984' while I was a young deckhand on a tugboat. It had a lifelong impression on my view of political power and intrigue.
It's more valid and relevant now than when it was written and DoubleSpeak has risen to a whole new level in the news, politics and history.
Just reflect on the current media and the political language-manipulations of the 12+Million “Illegal Immigrants” that have invaded our country!
