The 1989 US invasion of the Panama Canal Zone and capture of dictator and drug-lord Noriega had a significant personal connection for me. The US commanding general Marc Cisneros was a friend and fellow Artillery Officer in Babenhausen Germany in 1962. At a reunion in 2017 Lt. Gen. Cisneros gave an insightful presentation of his view of the Panama Canal invasion and capture of Noriega.
