Given the amount and length of the China trade abuses and unfair sourcing, it seems likely China will work diligently to maintain a major advantage going forward. Visions of speedy “fair trade” and the need for the US to protect our national security will be a major challenge and unfortunately Americans are Not known for long-term tenacity.

The combined U.S. tariff rate on Chinese imports will be cut to 30% from 145%, while China’s levies on U.S. imports will fall to 10% from 125%, the countries said early Monday morning.
