The SPLC’s indictment revealed that the organization, which claimed to be fighting the KKK and ‘white supremacists’ was funding them instead. The Southern Poverty Law Center claimed that it was paying informants, but $3 million is a whole lot more than just paying for tips. And at least in the case of the Charlottesville, ‘Unite the Right’ rally, the one that Democrats did their best to falsely link Trump to, and that Biden cited as his reason for running, the SPLC appeared to be paying one of those working on organizing it.

Nancy Gbana Abudu, the deputy legal director at SPLC, was picked by Biden in December to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
