The WSJ Strassel article that the economically successful are leaving the Blue states for the Red states misses some important context.
The “Mamdani’s” of the Blue states are purposely excessively-taxing and harassing wealthy residents causing them to leave. It results in an ever-poorer population ever-more dependent on government handouts and support thereby enhancing the Socialist/Communist position of the “Mamdani’s”.

This spiral of reduced income and increased government-dependence is at the very core of the Communist Revolutions over the past 100-years.
It’s Not about actually improving lives; it’s about gaining power and control!
