My first new GI German car was a 1962 VW Bug for $1250 (5,000 Dmarks)!
Today’s US car average is $50,000, more than twice the cost of my first new
home in 1965!
Today’s US used cars average cost: $26,000!
And US cars are big and heavy and continue to be gas-hogs!
And US customers are Not Yet Ready to buy Small EVs!
