Doctors should weigh prescribing some of their patients a pill of a powerful antibiotic, doxycycline, to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections, according to new draft recommendations released Monday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Officials say the approach, dubbed doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis, or Doxy-PEP for short, could mark a turning point in the nation's fight against the ongoing epidemic of sexually transmitted infections, or STIs.

For thousands of years, since the Roman times, men have used protection that served as both birth-control and STD-control, albeit the technology improved greatly over time.

‘The Pill’ was invented and there was a major movement to depend upon it for ‘protection’ albeit it only works for birth-control, it resulted in major increases in STD’s and the scourge of HIV+AIDS.

The availability of ‘The Morning-After Pill’ has added to this health pandemic due to a false sense of security.

Now science is introducing another “Morning-After Pill” that ostensibly will reduce some STD transmissions.

Has it occurred to society that something is fundamentally wrong with our interpersonal behaviors?
Perhaps the authors of the Bible were onto something with their ‘story’ about Sodom and Gomorra (Genesis 19:24).
