The US is one of the only countries that has a 2nd Amendment right to personally own hand-guns and to conceal carry. (all-be-it that Right is under constant attack).
Apparently the British occupation of the Colonies was so egregious that the Founding Fathers not only included it in the Constitution but made it #2!

There are some people who claim that things are so much better now that the 2nd Amendment should be discarded. Really? Apparently these folks don’t live in the major crime-ridden sections of our cities and certainly do not ride the subways or public transportation or walk the streets in the dark to get home.
Not to worry, the new 12+Million Illegal Immigrants, who Biden has dastardly dumped in our communities, are going to help our safety and security situation.

25-years ago Israel had gun rules much like Switzerland. Everyone’s an Army Reservist, has an issued weapon that they secure at home and is readily available.

Then the NY-minded Jewish folks decided that Israel is a quiet peaceful place and Israeli’s do not need to have access to firearms.
So they put draconian restrictions in place closely copied from their cousins in NYC. The US government keyed-off that model and also started constraining weapons to Israel citizens who "could no longer be trusted". Isn't that AntiSemitic and incredibly naive?
