Montgomery County’s School Board took a deep dive into student discipline issues Tuesday, reviewing an array of numbers that showed Black and a group of disabled students are suspended at disproportionately higher rates.

Of all the ‘Red Herrings’ in the ocean is the so-called disparity between White and Black school discipline statistics.
Perhaps it's not a "disparity", perhaps it's a Reality, based on many factors that manifest themselves in a classroom environment where ALL children have a right to safety and a good education.

Perhaps one could look at the statistics for the Black vs White crime committed post-school in our communities as an indicator of what happens after graduation.

Perhaps one could look at the fear and intimidation of teachers and students inflicted by juvenile delinquents and outright-criminals in our classrooms; a reality many administrators work diligently to hide.

There’s the inhouse-supervised-detention in some schools that are very costly and simply hide the real problems instead of facing them.
