Very disappointing news from Reuters that Hamas still has 7,000 troops in Rafah.
Certainly explains why the IDF is moving slowly and using heavy firepower to eliminate the enemy while limiting their own casualties.
-
This is resulting in significant Palestinian casualties of those who remain in the combat zone.
Not clear IF they have free-will from Hamas to leave, as directed by the IDF.
Just because Hamas is responsible, let's not blame Hamas for Oct 7th and all that has followed and all to come.
Let's now try 'with a cease-fire' to save as many of the Hamas Terrorists and their Evil Leaders as possible -- they won't be a future problem or threat.

Biden says Israel can trust them going forward.

Report: Half of Hamas Terrorists Killed; 7,000 Remain in Rafah (breitbart.com)
Half of all the Hamas terrorists in Gaza have been killed during the war, according to Reuters, citing U.S. officials Thursday, and most of the remaining ones are holed up in the town of Rafah, where Israel has been advancing slowly.
-
Reports emerged Friday that Israel had completed its takeover of the entire border between Gaza and Egypt. It has discovered many miles of underground tunnels underneath and along the border, which Hamas previously used to smuggle weapons and goods into Gaza. Controlling that smuggling route means that it will be difficult for Hamas to rearm, and that Israel will expect to make significant but slow gains as it takes over more and more of Rafah.
