Covid-19
CoronaVirus has wrought death, illness, distress and economic havoc.
However,
there is a light shining in that storm; it is the opportunity to exploit
Computer-Centric Teaching-Learning going forward.
-
Nationally, Taxpayers, parents
and students have spent Billions of dollars on computer technology for students
over the past dozen years.
In large
part these resources have been secondary at best in the teaching-learning
process.
We now have
a forced situation in which many players have the opportunity to contribute to exploiting this
important endeavor.
-
We need
education leaders from all levels of learning including private and public
entities to document and formalize the best practices being used and upload
them into a data base that is available to all educators.
This data
base should be the genesis of our national and state resources for every course
taught in public and private schools.
-
This
facility will be the level playing field for all students, rich and poor, fast
and not so fast, young and old to develop to the best of their ability and
initiative.

Lincoln — 'I will study and prepare myself, and someday my chance will come.'
Lincoln taught himself law, passing the bar
examination in 1836

I hope we
don’t miss this opportunity to make a real contribution to education and
success for all our people going forward.
