States that license and regulate and inspect Nursing Homes.
States look
to the CMS, CDC and NIH for guidance and assistance but the states are
responsible and accountable for performance and outcomes of their health
facilities.

Virginia Gov. Northam, a doctor by trade, do to fix the 77% of Virginia’s nursing homes
that failed required health practices before the Covid-19 attacked?
“Over the
past three years, government health inspectors cited about 77% of the state’s
nursing homes for failing to meet infection prevention and control regulations
— and many have been repeat offenders, according to a Virginian-Pilot analysis
of federal
inspection data.”
