The antiGun Wonks scoff at the notion that an armed population is a safer population.
The premise being that police cannot be everywhere and that their time to arrive can be the difference between life and death.
They also scoff at the premise that bad actors are dissuaded from entering a home if they believe the homeowner is armed.

All this came to a horrific reality in Israel last Saturday when Muslim Terrorists attacked Israeli homes along the Gaza border.
During the last few years Israeli authorities have made it much harder to own, possess and carry firearms.
As terrorists moved from home to home killing everyone they could, most people huddled in so called ‘safe rooms’ where they were shot, unable to offer any defense.

So now authorities are literally arming civilians in a “Day Late And A Gun Short” knee-jerk reaction!
