Virginia Democrats, led by Craig Deeds of Charlottesville, plan to remove site plan approval for solar farms, some involve many hundreds of acres, from local control and empower the Democrat majority in Richmond to railroad the projects to approval.

Solar farms have many issues and environmental impacts and local communities are wrestling with project approvals across the Commonwealth.
Some are being rejected, some are being required to make site changes and some are being approved.
This local process is working as intended by the Commonwealths Local planning, zoning and subdivision ordnances that serves us well.
