Blue Ridge Parkway A Blessing; Gas Pipeline A Curse?

""WatchDogs" fear Forest Service amendments could yield regional 'pipeline alley'

A 50-foot wide, permanently treeless right-of-way for the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline portends a fresh scar for the region’s scenic vistas, especially in areas where steep slopes and erosion-prone soils will challenge efforts to reestablish vegetation.

But what sort of scar could result from a swath carved through the Jefferson National Forest that might be 500 feet wide — a corridor whose width would exceed by 200 feet the length of a football field?"

Thank goodness for the PipeLine “WatchDogs” watching out for a treeless “scar”, across the Blue Ridge, through 3.4 miles of the Jefferson National Forest, 50-feet wide now or perhaps 500-feet wide in the future. What would we do without them Watch "Dawgs"?

But in perspective, what is their view of “the government” building a 469-mile black-topped “scar” called the Blue Ridge Parkway with a width that is a minimum of 600-feet to a maximum of 6,000-feet wide?

What if “the government” were proposing to build that today?

What would the “WatchDogs” being doing about that?

And what about all those “ugly black-top scenic view scars” that are usually so overgrown that all one can see is a wall of trees.

And what about all the streams that were “carved through” and scared?

And what about all the “scared rock cuts” into the mountain sides?

And what about all the private land that was confiscated?

And what about all those dirty fossil-fueled vehicles that have and are and will use this road -- what does Gore and the WatchDogs say about them and their CO2 and smog drifting down upon us low-landers?

Perhaps folks need to stop, take a deep breath and get things into perspective, especially those in the Pravda Media who constantly hype this agenda with heaps of heifer-dust frosting on top of a sundae of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt).

All this hypocrisy is clearly over-the-top like their so called “green ways” that aren’t green but are a black-top 8-foot “scars” that go on for miles upon the landscape and often cut through flood-plains and wet-lands and private property without a second thought by “the WatchDogs”.

Perhaps there's a connection between what WatchDogs watch, and who feeds them! You Think?
