“Winter Storm Benji was moving up the East Coast, with heavy snow predicted for a 2,000-mile stretch from the Deep South to New England. Some spots could see as much as 10 to 15 inches of snow, forecasters said.

Winter weather warnings were issued Friday for parts of Massachusetts and Northern Virginia, with travel expected to be hazardous in the Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metro areas.

The South saw unprecedented levels of snowfall from Texas to North Carolina -- resulting in power outages, frozen roadways and numerous auto accidents. Many areas closed schools during the week.”

Perhaps this Winter storm is Mother Nature’s reaction to Obama’s pathetic visit to the Paris AGW-Alarmists meeting this week where his friends and green-mentors were sadly disappointed by his inability to hand them a $3-Billion dollar US taxpayer check (for whatever?).

“The Bath County Pumped Storage Station, near the West Virginia line, is the most powerful pumped storage station in the world with the ability to hold approximately 20 billion gallons of water and push 7.4 billion gallons of water to create energy.

Pumped storage facilities (like Smith Mountain Lake SML) have two separate reservoirs. During peak electricity times, the water flows from the top reservoir to the bottom powering turbines and creating electricity along the way.”

These peak-power storage “water-batteries” were designed to provide reliability during short-term high-demand and they will prove invaluable for the intermittent supplies from solar panels and wind turbines.

As fossil fuel electrical supplies are reduced and intermittent solar and wind become a significant part of our electricity supply there is a requirement for massive pump-back hydro systems that can quickly react to changing supply-demands. A Hydro opportunity exists at the New River Gap. One can only imagine the green-aschauda this project will elicit – the real cost to make intermittent ‘green-power’ reliable.

The Cape Wind project, which envisioned 130 turbines to be built off the Massachusetts coast, would have been the first U.S. offshore wind farm.”

In a similar vain, Va. D-Gov McAuliffe hasn’t gotten a single wind-turbine spinning here in the Old Dominion despite all his wind.

Why is the Arctic sea-ice 8th lowest on (satellite) record when supposedly we have the highest level of CO2 in earth’s history?

Satellites have recorded sea ice cover since 1978 (mere 39-years of earth’s history).
