Show Us The 100% Renewables BackUp Plan
-
It’s difficult to comprehend that the US grid energy leaders and their political masters cannot acknowledge that wind and solar sources are intermittent and unreliable and require 100% back-up for extended periods of time.
-
Cynicism results when one observes really faulty actions being taken by those who will bear No accountability for their actions.
Note to Virginian's -- where will Northam be when our lights and heat go out?
https://www.governor.virginia.gov/newsroom/all-releases/2020/april/headline-856056-en.html
Northam's Grid Power Conversion:
Step 1: truncate current systems.
Step 2: Implement Renewables that require 100% BackUp by the systems truncated in Step 1.
Talk about the fallacy of 'Circular Logic'!

As the Renewables try to prove that the Texas Power Disaster was caused by AGW Global Warming and wasn’t really caused by half-of their WindTurbines failing, and solar panels that had no sun, one can reflect that when one component fails, of a system that is close to 100% loaded, the entire system is at high risk of failures cascading to a disaster.

Texas blackouts a wake-up call for America's energy capital

Texas in its desire to go greener gambled on an overreliance of wind and solar. Texas became the top U.S. state in wind generation power and became second in solar generation. In a way, Texas moved in that direction because of guilt because they spent over 100 years providing the country and the world with reliable power sources of energy and natural gas. They decided to risk their grid to sources of energy that were not as reliable and failed to create adequate safety valves in extreme conditions.

If the 10% safety margin is valid in this report,
ERCOT was criminally negligent
What engineer would use a 10% safety factor on systems that directly depend on ‘the weather’ and Renewables?
https://www.foxbusiness.com/energy/texas-power-consumers-to-pay-the-price-of-winter-storm
(may have to copy-paste link into browser to view fox article)
Since 2010, ERCOT's reserve margin - the buffer between what it can produce versus forecasted demand - has dropped to around 10% from about 20%, putting pressure on generators during electricity demand spikes.
-
-
Talk about an energy management Dichotomy; During the disaster, Texas was shipping Natural Gas out of the state but lacked the ability to import power from adjacent grids.

-
There are many individuals and businesses that have installed Renewables to reduce their energy costs; however, they depend on the Grid for 100% backup for their ‘9 to 5 solar sunny’ systems.
Didn’t work out in Texas when the snow blocked out the sun and the backup systems failed?
Raw Cynicism: FEMA is bringing in motor-generators Not more solar panels.
-
-
ERCOT has No creditability to explain anything about this power disaster. They are the management team that totally bought into the Renewable Strategy and failed to maintain a 100% backup capability.
Accepting their story on this disaster is like accepting Andy Cuomo’s story on why thousands of seniors died from Covid in the nursing homes.
