US Energy On Alter Of Political Hacks
THE primary objectives of our energy systems has historically been:
Affordable Reliable 24-7-365 Energy
Now our energy systems are being directed by political hacks addicted to the Gore-Greta-Kerry Renewables Kool-Aid.

There are two reasons why consumers experience a power outage. The first is obvious: a storm comes along and knocks down trees and power lines. That’s what typically happens. But there’s now a second reason for power outages in the United States — there simply isn’t enough electricity to go around.
Power generation in the United States has always been an extremely dependable commodity. But recently, there’s been a startling decline — and both Texas and California have offered previews of this worrying trend. In February 2021, portions of Texas’s natural gas infrastructure and wind turbines froze, leaving utilities without sufficient fuel and generating capacity to meet demand. The ensuing blackouts claimed more than 200 lives.
In California, the challenge over the past two years has been rolling power outages. It’s an increasingly regular occurrence on hot days.

White House to direct $3 billion to electric vehicle battery production

WASHINGTON — In an effort to decrease the country’s reliance on overseas producers, the Biden administration plans to make $3 billion from the $555 billion infrastructure law available to companies working to boost U.S. manufacturing of batteries used in electric vehicles, officials said on Monday.
The money will be given as cost-sharing grants to companies involved in all parts of the battery supply chain, including the processing of materials used in batteries and the recycling of old batteries. As many as 30 companies could receive grants worth more than $50 million each, an administration official said.

It seems like yesterday that Obama squandered taxpayer money on a renewable energy boondoggle that was far more about politics than technology or manufacturing:
Solyndra: Politics infused Obama energy programs
Linda Sterio remembers the excitement when President Obama arrived at Solyndra last year and described how his administration’s financial support for the plant was helping create hundreds of jobs. The company’s prospects appeared unlimited as Solyndra executives described the backlog of orders for its solar panels.
Then came the August morning when Sterio heard a newscaster announce that more than a thousand Solyndra employees were out of work. Only recently did she learn that, within the Obama administration, the company’s potential collapse had long been discussed.
“It’s not about the people; it’s politics,” said Sterio, who remains jobless and at risk of losing her home. “We all feel betrayed.”

This data shows that climate-related events—floods, droughts, storms, fires, and temperature extremes—are not actually killing more people. Deaths have dropped by a huge amount: In the 1920s, almost half a million people were killed by climate-related disasters. In 2021, it was less than 7,000 people. Climate-related disasters kill 99% fewer people than 100 years earlier.
