Gov. Kaine’s assistant Gordon Hickey and Democrat AG candidate Mike Henry referred to Cuccinelli’s request as “a PR stunt that would cost taxpayers money”.

7/19/09, Pg Horiz 3, A rush to legislate: A four column commentary with photogenic picture of editor Luanne Traud (Roanoke’s answer to Maureen Dowd) who waxed eloquent about how obtuse and negligible and futuristic this problem is and how Cuccinelli didn’t convince her that this was a real problem worthy of Gov. Kaine’s attention.

7/23/09, Pg 1 and 18, Forensics ruling prompts scramble – Gov. Kaine has called a special session of the General Assembly in response to a US Supreme Court decision.
Sixteen paragraphs of explanation of why this is a major problem that needs prompt attention by the government of Virginia.

At this point in the process and print, Cuccinelli’s name doesn’t surface until paragraph 14 of the 16 and then the quote deals with some technical details of the proposed legal fix.
Is this total absence of valid recognition of Mr. Cuccinelli’s involvement in this process: slant, journalistic amnesia or just plain crude political bias?

Questions that some folks are asking:
Is Ms.Traud on the Democrat party payroll or is she just an energetic volunteer?
Just how deeply buried into the Democrat media machine are the editors of the Roanoke Times?
When they claim they’re just reporting the news, one is left with the additional question: are they insulting their reader’s intelligence on purpose or is it just turning out that way?
There are over 1,000 items in this blog that would cause one to answer “it’s on purpose”!
