Justifiable Bias?

-
Roanoke Times, 11-9-10, Pg 1 & 14: Ga. Teen is fatally beaten by brawlers. Bystanders watched while the random victim was swiftly killed by beating.
-
A home party for invited guests turned deadly when four young black thugs crashed the party and then randomly selected a young black youth for killing by beating.
-
Perhaps we should flash back two years ago when Obama reflected on his Grandmother’s expressed fears of being alone and meeting young black men on a city street. Was that not viewed by most as a reasonable and prudent and very understandable feeling felt by many people required to walk intercity streets yet today?
-
These four animals are not people. They are pit-bulls who killed violently and without any regard for human life or dignity and they have forfeited their right to claim membership in the human race.
-
They are poster examples of why many people have negative and suspicious feelings about young black males and feel that this is “Justifiable Bias”.
-
These pit-bulls will probably bounce around the justice system for many years and will probably escape the death penalty. By then the media will exploit their sad upbringing as the justifiable reason for their acts and no one will even remember the young man who was destroyed by their boots.
Added to that will be the liberal-progressive media who will turn loose the political correctness police upon anyone who dares reflect on the stark facts of the event or on the life of the victim?
-
The recent NPR Juan Williams episode was clearly another example in which the public clearly and overwhelmingly sided with Juan for his “Justifiable Bias” of discomfort at being on a plane with devout Muslims in their garb.

Perhaps we all need to get off the politically correctness bus and recognize that to the individuals involved, their perceptions are real, and they and others may feel their reactions are reasonable and prudent. Strange! One might think that the touchy-feely liberals would be OK with that! Aren’t they the ones who always ask “how do you fee about that”?
