Roanoke Times Finally Awakening To The Obama Economic Reality Of Abiding Gloom
Roanoke Times, 2-10-2014, Pg 1, 6: AP: Economy outlook: Abiding gloom since the Great Recession ended 4-1/2 years ago.
113,000 jobs added in January. Job creation for the past two months is roughly half its average for the past two years.

This RT/AP article is the first I can remember that even begins to address the reality of our national economic malaise (a Jimmy Carter term).
Included is data about: the long-term unemployed, the lack of private business job creation, the manufacturing slump, CBO forecast is gloomy because of ObamaCare and Boomers’ retirements by the millions; many jobs added during past 4 years not helping the economy because of high personal debt and low pay and many are part time.

Not mentioned is Obama’s total lack of interest in stimulating private business as the key element in out free enterprise system. What has Obama done to stimulate private enterprise? Almost all of Obama’s focus is on massive restrictive regulation and crushing constraints on business. He made his anti-business philosophy very clear right here in

Obama, after four years, can’t even bring himself to say Go for the XL-pipe line! How lame is that! What has the four years of government procrastination added to the safety, security or viability of that pipeline? And now he needs John Kerry’s blessing! How did we ever arrive at this juncture? What a joy!

Thank goodness for the energy and job creating “private” industry Fracking on “private” lands for oil and gas, otherwise our energy costs would be multiples of what they are now and unemployment much higher.

Nowhere in the article does it even allude to the fact that The House has passed many free enterprise job-creation Bills that have not even been addressed by Harry Reid and his Democrat Senate. Clearly Obama and associates could mount a major effort to negotiate many of these Bills into legislation that would make major positive improvements to our economy. Apparently he doesn’t want to do that and no one in the Pravda Press has the intestinal fortitude to ask him why not!
Wouldn’t these Bills be fertile ground for Obama’s “Big Pen”?
