“At a time when we should be looking for ways to expedite the approval of these important projects, the Commission has chosen on a purely partisan basis to do the exact opposite,” McConnell wrote in a draft of the letter he sent to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), obtained by Politico. “Erecting new roadblocks to affordable, abundant energy makes no sense, particularly in this tenuous time.”

When President Joe Biden took over, he immediately canceled all of President Donald Trump's energy initiatives that had made the United States of America almost energy independent.
This was good to slow climate change, but was like cutting off a water faucet too soon. We do not yet have the technology or hardware in place to do this. So up went the price of oil and the oil price affects the price of everything.
Then came Putin and his war. He will not go away. Let us pray he does not nuke us. Oil prices up even more. It will only get worse. Probably for political reasons President Biden cannot/will not reverse his executive orders on energy. So it is up to Congress to take charge and take action to correct this energy crisis and inflation.

"Natural gas is a driver of electricity costs as it is used by generation plants to create electricity. Con Edison does not make a profit on the commodity," Drury said in a statement. "We buy the energy on the wholesale market and provide it to customers at the same price we paid."
NYMEX natural gas futures have jumped over 30% from 12 months ago.

Clearly the Democrats in NY do not know that it’s the Democrats in Virginia and their Obama-Judges that have stopped the Cheap MPV FrackingGas from getting to them for the past 2+ years, with no hope in sight.
Also not available for shipment to EU via LNG-ships to help off-set the Russian oil-gas to EU.
It’s called masochism when you self-damage yourself.
