Contrarian View: Ukraine-Russian War
As the US and NATO countries ‘phase’ resources into Ukraine to fight the Russian aggression and invasion, one can validly have disappointing views of the outcomes.

Wars are unpredictable; however, the Biden-Milley management of the Ukraine-Russian War is a reflection of the LBJ-McNamara VietNam War and historically the siege of Leningrad.

The siege of Leningrad bled the Germans into paralysis by the Russian defensive bull-dogs who, from heavily fortified positions, wore down the offense troops and then overwhelmed them.

The LBJ-McNamara VN-War was a White-House-managed piece-by-piece and step-by-step allocation of resources and political-targeting from DC – a day late and a dollar short, an ineffective and loosing strategy.

The Biden-Milley management of the Ukraine-Russia War has been a slow drawn-out piece-meal allocation of resources that has allowed the Russians the time and space to prepare a defense-in-depth of mines, trenches and artillery on the land they initially gained thereby limiting the Ukrainian options from a mobile-shock-action mechanized battle into a trench-warfare slog reminiscent of Leningrad or for recent movie buffs the “All Quiet on the Western Front”.
At this point the F16 training regimen hasn’t even been nailed down!

With rules of engagement that forbids entering or hitting Russia territory, and NATO also unwilling to aggressively engage, this will be another protracted and costly war of attrition that will leave Ukraine a shadow of its former self and many people starving for wheat that can’t be shipped.
