There was a time in my lifetime when country cooks reacted with joy to a much improved stove:
“Now You’re Cookin With Gas” was the refrain that quickly referenced any improvements that were good and fast and affordable.
Cooks had moved from wood stoves to coal stoves, a duplicate set of which had been located in the attached “summer kitchen” to avoid over-heating a hot summer home.
In the city there were the ‘gas-mains’, in the country the 100-pound tanks.
Gas was Fast! 2000-degrees directly on the 'whatever-pot' in a consistent predictable process and a predictable oven too, all of which could be in the year-round kitchen.

Electric stoves operate at much lower temperatures, depend on metal to metal contact, elements stay hot after turned-off and depend on significant electric service facility at 240-volts.

Fast forward to Jan 2023 in which the MVP pipeline, carrying WVa Fracking Gas has been stymied by political-judges doing their masters bidding with no factual legal or environmental basis.

Joe Manchin, the CPSC Chairman denied any plan to ban, and the White House said President Biden also doesn’t want to ban gas stoves. But that’s cold comfort given that the climate left does want to ban them, and progressive cities and states are doing it.
Progressive cities such as Berkeley, San Francisco and New York City have already banned gas stoves and other appliances in new buildings. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul this week proposed a ban on gas equipment including stoves in new small buildings in 2025 and larger ones in 2028.

Faith-based schools win as federal court tosses gay students’ lawsuit over Title IX exemptions

Students at colleges and universities operating on religious principles concerning marriage, sexual identity and gender won’t be blocked from receiving federal aid, the U.S. District Court in Oregon ruled this week.
The court dismissed a 2021 suit filed by 40 LGBTQ+ students, alumni and applicants to religious schools against the Department of Education over exemptions granted to religious schools from Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972’s nondiscrimination requirements. The court noted “one narrow exception” to the rules, one Congress created to protect schools “controlled by a religious organization” whose beliefs are “inconsistent” with those rules.

Perhaps a modernized bronze based on the uplifting message of education and opportunity of the bronze of BTW at the entry to Tuskegee would have been more appropriate:
