Watching Pelosi orchestrate the slim Democrat majority in the house has been an education in practical political management. Even with the AOC-faction nipping at her heels she achieved one ‘political victory’ after another.
Clearly the Democrat team knows and practices and reaps the rewards of teamsmanship!
Something about ‘the final defensive line’ in military tactics.

Enter the 2023 Republican Congress with a similar thin majority including a small group of members (House Freedom Caucus) dedicated to their sub-agenda.
The vast majority of Republican Congresspersons support McCarthy for speaker, however, that position requires a majority vote of the entire Congress (including the Democrats) which empowers the House Freedom Caucus members, however few, to hold McCarthy’s speaker position hostage to their demands.
Something about ‘our way or the highway’.

Hopefully others will follow his wise lead and form a solidified Republican team to confront the Democrat Senate and Biden and get America off the Biden-Democrat path of misdirection and back onto a responsible and positive path of progress and prosperity and security.
