The irony is at once laughable and tragic.

A state court blocked voting by mail in Delaware on Sept. 14 after ruling that the state’s mail-in voting practices violate the Delaware Constitution.
Barring further judicial or legislative action, the ruling means mail-in voting will not be available in the upcoming general elections in Delaware on Nov. 8.
Republicans were critical of mail-in voting measures enacted at the height of the pandemic and accused election officials across the country of ignoring the U.S. Constitution and state constitutions by allowing it and promoting it heavily to the public. They claim this departure from the usual election procedures allowed Democrats to cheat.

Physics:
When water freezes its volume increases; when it melts it reverts back to its original volume.
Since the ice, when it floats, displaces exactly its weight in water, when it melts, the water it melts into takes the same volume that the ice displaced in the water. So the water level should remain the same.
A small correction to this reasoning comes from the fact that the water cools down as the ice melts. Cool water is more dense than warm water, and the water level will go down just a bit as the water shrinks.

It is the melting land based glaciers that affect the sea levels, not the floating or submerged ice be they “Doomsday’s’ or just ordinary 'titanic' floating glaciers.

But now your electric company has extended ‘Big Brother 1984’ inside your home and can control your home temperature.
The electric companies have been busy ‘upgrading’ residential electric meters.
Ostensibly to more easily and remotely read your electric usage and automate your billing.

BUT when you signed for the new meter, there was an ‘Innocuous Item’ on the notice.
It requests your permission for the electric company to control your temperature thermostat ‘in the event the power company needs to balance the load on the grid’.
In some cases they offer a token rate reduction to sign-on.
Really? Balance the load on the grid?
Why doesn’t the electric company have sufficient capacity to handle peak loads?
Has that not been and is their mission and job for over 100-years?
Apparently not since the state and federal governments have decreed the end of nuclear and fossil-fuel generation long before providing 24-7-365 ‘renewable-energy’ capacity to replace our existing systems.
