Yes and record unemployment, underemployment, highest ever food stamps and welfare.
Instead of focusing on the stimulation and empowerment of our private businesses, now Obama wants to throw lots more of our lowest paid workers onto welfare:

Obama Abandons Afghanistan “His Good War”

Senator Obama railed against Bush’s conduct of the War against Radical Muslim Terrorists in Afghanistan. Obama's position was that Bush had “outsourced” the war to the Northern Alliance and Obama declared the War in Afghanistan was “The Good War” and well worth fighting and dying for.

Flash forward to now; Obama just called Karzi, the President of Afghanistan.
That’s not the bad news; the bad news is that it’s the first time they’ve talked since last June!
How can it be that the two Commanders-In-Chief of a major war effort don’t talk to each other; Like at least weekly! It’s a War! Our people are being hurt and killed in combat!

Darn Those Businessmen Who Balk At $10 Minimum Pay

Many people who operate small business say they would have trouble paying people at the $10.10 per hour rate proposed by Obama.

The Obama position:
Suck-it-up! Just pay those poor exploited workers the 10 bucks and while you’re at it pay the increased taxes and ObamaCare premiums and energy costs and make sure you comply with the thousands of new regulations I’ve been signing with my “Big Pen”!

Anyway – you didn’t build that business – the government did – so stop calling it “your business” and just shut-up and do what I tell you to do! This is just more of the Hope and Change I promised you!

Somewhere in high school textbooks and in life’s reality there is a relationship between supply and demand. When things cost more people buy less of it.
Non-skilled labor is one of those supply and demand things.

So what Obama wants to do is take the lowest paid people in the workforce and have 30% of them laid-off and give their wages to the other 70% of the lowest paid people in the workforce.
Certainly fits right in with his Obama-plan to redistribute income!

The 30% laid-off will then join the millions already on food-stamps, unemployment and welfare (that’s the equality part) all of whom Obama has inducted into his Hope and Change Society!

Apparently it doesn’t ever occur to Obama and his minions that the key to the American economy and economic growth is stimulating businesses to grow and retain and hire workers. Very understandable given that he’s a community organizer and never held a real job.

The Roanoke Times has supported Obama’s initiatives and even published a Labor Day major article in Sept 2011 to: “Give Marx a Chance”! Apparently that’s what Obama is trying hard to achieve!

Roanoke Times Totally Misses A Great VT Green Energy Opportunity

Roanoke Times, 2-23-2014, Pg 1, 14: Rapid expansion at VT has increased the demand for “reliable energy” to meet “future needs”

University looks at "natural gas" as alternative to coal.

VT the energy hog: 250,000,000 BTUs per hour and an additional 204,000,000 KWHrs in electricity!
VT is facing an “incredibly naive commitment” to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 80% below the 1990 levels by 2050! How much will the energy requirements expand by 2050? And why are they looking at natural gas, yet another fossile fuel, for the future?

The Roanoke Times Totally Missed A Green Energy Opportunity to detail right here in this very comprehensive article what the Gore-Mann-Obama-Kaine- McAuliffe plans are for cutting, by 80%, VTs use of fossil fuels by 2050.

What does it take to make a green-energy “reliable energy” utility system that will satisfy VT’s voracious appetite for energy 24/7/365 without Brownouts or interruptions?
-
How many hundreds of square miles of solar panels?
How many wind towers and how many hundreds of square miles to hold them?
How many miles of new dedicated grid lines and substations?
What to do for energy storage when there’s little or no sun or wind?
-
Clearly a pump-back energy storage system like the SML-Leesville dams, but massively bigger, are required; and where would they be built?
Clearly the New River Gap would be a prime vehicle and candidate for VT’s Green-Energy storage needs!

It’s not clear how one would go about getting all the required approvals, litigate all the issues and gain the consensus required.
Perhaps the best and fastest path to “doing the right green-energy thing” is to have Obama use his “pen and telephone” and designate the project as a “shovel ready” job; that should do it!

We are now waiting for the Roanoke Times to rectify this Missed Green Energy Opportunity and publish a sequel that outlines “the plan” to make VT a totally self-sufficient green-energy off-grid community that would prove that it can be done and Gore-Mann-Obama-Kaine- McAuliffe know how to do it!

Liberal Media OK With Federal Agents In The Editors Office (and their pants)

Roanoke Times, 2-22-2014, pg 4: FCC modifies news media survey after strong backlash. Faced with an outcry, the FCC chairman said he would amend the effort to asses whether the news media were meeting the public’s “critical information needs”.

The chairman responded to the growing furor by ordering removal of question about news philosophy and editorial judgment.

That blog item was met with strong condemnation by a member of the liberal press informing me that this action by the federal government was perfectly OK!
My reply was: would it have been OK if Bush had initiated it?

Second: How can anyone in the federal government even begin to think about invading and trespassing into the editorial and news facilities of any media in the United States of America! And the print media is targeted! The FCC has never had any rights to intrude into the print media! Just more of Obama’s “pen and phone” unconstitutional actions.

If any inquiry into the editorial functions of the media is appropriate it would be the purview of the Graduate Schools of Journalism University’s, not THE government!

Third: I have Googled this FCC action with ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN and cannot find any coverage or objections to this gross intrusion into their 1^st Amendment rights. Apparently they are OK with all this! Also, the editors at the Roanoke Times have not expressed any problems with federal government agents joining their morning round-table and shadowing and questioning their reporters. Wonder why they haven’t invited me for morning coffee? Oh right – they won’t even print my LTE’s! They’re so fair and balanced!

Fourth: The only “growing furor” I can find is from FoxNews and those nasty Right-wing extremist blogs and secondary outlets. Rather like the liberal’s coverage of most of the Obama issues – i.e.: we’re big on the bridge-lane closures, not so much on Benghazi.

The bottom line: The federal government doesn’t have to analyze and examine the bias and slant of the Roanoke Times. This blog has been doing that for 9 years and the results are well documented and very clear for all to see!

Obama is frustrated because he’s a sad failure in leading this Country to higher-ground and a better life for our people! There are no better examples of his failures than the number of people on welfare and food-stamps and unemployed and underemployed!

How Can Models That Can’t Predict Tomorrow’s Weather Predict Global Climate?

The embarrassing dominance of the European forecast model over the two major American models was never on greater display than it was in the days leading up the Feb 12 and 13 snowstorm.

For years the disparaging computer remark was: Garbage IN = Garbage OUT !
Computer modeling is indeed totally dependent on the data and algorithms input by “modelers” who are trying to achieve some end result that can then be claimed to have validity because: “the computer says so”.

No place is this more evident than in the hundreds of millions of tax-payer dollars spent on the 19 US climate models that the Gore-Mann-Obama team is trying desperately to use to “prove” that man-made CO2 is causing catastrophic global warming and resulting bad climate change.

How can 19 computer models that are so profoundly wrong be used by the Alarmist community as the basis for their draconian projections and how can all this be accepted by the “consensus people” and the liberal media?

Sunday Hunting Somewhat OK

Great large picture of magnificent 8-point buck that only a really bad person would shoot! Bambi's father -- How could you?

Two items come to mind:

Opening Sunday hunting gives working people, who only have weekends to hunt, twice as much opportunity to hunt. They deserve that opportunity.
-

Instead of an idyllic buck picture, it would have been more appropriate to show the following picture of my neighbors car which was hit by a deer that had been launched by being hit by an oncoming car.
And yes – people were seriously hurt!

John Kerry Reduced To A Nasty Bully And Name Caller

Obama's Secretary of State John "Ketchup" Kerry, owner of 5 residences, a yacht, and a private jet, lashes out at climate change skeptics.

In a speech in Indonesia, John Kerry called those who do not subscribe to the Gore-Mann Man-caused Global Temperature AGW Hypothesis: “Flat-Earthers”!

When you don’t have good models and you don’t have compelling science and you don’t have data and facts that support your hypothesis and Mother Nature is hammering your creditability --- the only thing you can do is to intimidate and harass and call people nasty names!

Aren’t we in the middle of a movement against Bullying, starting in kindergarten? Looks like we should start with Obama and his minions.
This behavior from the incompetent bully’s that are running our government! How sad is that!

The facts are simple – we don’t need the likes of Kerry to call us nasty names:

* The climate is changing -- the climate has always been changing!
-

* The multimillion dollar models cannot replicate recent or current history and therefore cannot provide believable projections into the future.

* There has been no significant warming in the last 17 years.

* There has been less than one (1) degree warming in the past 150 years.

* Gore-Mann did not include the Medieval Warm Period, or The Little Ice Age or the massive Northern Hemisphere glacial retreat that began in 1750 in their hypothesis.

* There is no correlation between atmospheric CO2 and global temperature changes since the birth of Christ (a very short time-frame in earth’s history).

Those who do not agree with the Gore-Mann Hypothesis include many very distinguished, honest and independent scientists and engineers including key NASA scientists and engineers and astronauts.

Workers at a Volkswagen factory in Tennessee have voted against union representation in a devastating defeat for the United Auto Workers union's effort to make inroads in the South.
The 712-626 vote released late Friday was surprising for many labor experts and union supporters who expected a UAW win because Volkswagen tacitly endorsed the union and even allowed organizers into the Chattanooga factory to make sales pitches.
