Trump to NYC: ‘et to Brute’

It’s diabolical how NYC has turned upon Trump given how much Trump has given to NYC in the way of commerce, real-estate, taxes, advertising, promotions and jobs.

Perhaps this is a classic example of how the have-nots turn on the haves.
Perhaps the guillotine is next or maybe Neapolitans’ island of St. Helena that in NYC is called Rikers. Are Stalin-type purges coming or perhaps a ‘Mao-type Cultural Revolution’?

For those who have Jewish friends, sooner or later the question arises ‘why don’t Jews eat pork?’ The typical response ‘it’s just part of their religious rules’.
Apparently several thousand years ago Rabbis observed that many people who ate pork became ill and many died. Somehow the Rabbis associated illness with eating pork – a cause/effect clearly Not obvious and well before microscopes!
Fast forward to today ---- where the disease is called trichinosis and may be within the meat of pigs and bears --- and requires proper cooking before consumption.

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has come under fire over the course of the week for his faith-based commencement speech at Benedictine College.
Mr. Butker’s comments, which included criticizing abortion, taking a jab at Pride Month and stressing the importance of traditional family roles.
Benedictine College is a Catholic liberal arts college in Atchison, KS.

“We are hopeful, however, that you do not intend to send a message to Catholics, or to those that still uphold basic moral tenets of a civilized society, that they are outsiders and no longer welcome.”

AOC, Obama And Hamas Have Captured Biden

Based on the atrocities of the Oct 7th Hamas attack, The Jewish people and state have a total moral and legally valid counter-attack to wipe-out the Hamas animals responsible including those now holding Israeli hostages underground in Rafah-Gaza.

Apparently Biden has decided, for political purposes, to throw the Israelis under the Muslim Bus by demanding they end military operations and withdraw, leaving Hamas again in charge of Gaza.

Biden has even gone so far as to generate a ‘position paper’ that claims that Israel has committed war crimes and therefore the US can no longer morally support the Israelis. Really?

It is difficult to describe the Biden government without using uncivil terms!
It is even more difficult to observe the massive media and political machines that support him, may well get Trump jailed and may well get Biden reelected again.
Hopefully the Israeli’s will move forward and destroy Hamas with as limited collateral damage and deaths as the Hamas forces will allow.

We are three weeks into this absurd trial, and there is still no evidence that Trump committed any crimes.

Those LaidBack Norwegians – Really?

Fortune article quotes a major Norwegian fund manager’s opinion that today’s Norwegians are Not as competitive or ‘hard working’ as today’s Americans.
Clearly he was Not referring to my parents who arrived by themselves as teenagers in 1930, just in time for the great depression, and on their own became successful through hard honest work and ‘true grit’.

It’s not clear how well today's US workers compare to those of the WW2 greatest generation. Perhaps we can thank our social welfare systems for a dependency on ‘the government’ and Not on personal perseverance.

Perhaps today’s Norwegian’s are more ‘laid back’ because they have a very socialist government that is highly benevolent with the Billions of dollars of their natural gas and oil resources that is generously shared with their people.

Conversely they ‘claw-back’ considerable funds with well over 50+% taxes that help them ‘cap’ their wealthy-class many of whom are moving to more tax-friendly countries.

All this is in stark contrast to the Norwegian immigrants of the 1850’s to 1930’s coming in the ‘cargo-hold of sailing freighter-ships’ to work as basic hands-on-labor in agriculture and business on each coast and on the prairies in the heartland. Their work-ethic was well known and eventually rewarded.

Europeans are “less hard-working” than Americans, the head of the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund has said.

Nicolai Tangen, who manages Norway’s $1.6 trillion (£1.3 trillion) wealth fund, said people in Europe are less ambitious and more risk-averse than their US peers.
In comments first reported by the Financial Times, Mr Tangen said: “We are not very ambitious.
“I should be careful about talking about work-life balance but the Americans just work harder.
“There’s a mindset issue in terms of acceptance of mistakes and risks. You go bust in America, you get another chance. In Europe, you’re dead.”
Norway’s wealth fund, which invests surplus revenues from oil and gas, owns around 1.5pc of all globally listed shares and has stakes in more than 9,200 firms.

Mr Tangen’s comments come amid growing concern in the UK and Europe about the struggle to keep up with America’s booming stock markets.
The London Stock Exchange has already fallen victim to this trend as a string of high-profile firms have ditched the Square Mile in favour of New York.
The malaise gripping European equities has been underlined by the shift in Norway’s investment priorities.
Half of its wealth is now invested in US stocks, up from a third in 2013.
